1. The Foundation: Standardizing Your Dimensions
When planning a layout, consistency is king. Using a standardized footprint allows for modular growth as your inventory expands.
The Hero Unit: The FD-20 High Security Display Counter (48"L x 24"W x 44"H) should be your baseline. It’s designed at the ideal "touch-and-view" height for customers.
ADA Compliance: Your layout may require an ADA height case. We have you covered FD-21 High Security ADA Display Counter. This ensures your shop is accessible and meets legal requirements without breaking the visual line of your counters.
2. The Power of the Perimeter: Backwalls and Fillers
Your floor space is for movement; your walls are for volume.
The FD-32 Backwall: Use the FD-32 High Security Display Backwall to utilize vertical space. By placing these behind your service counters, you create a "layered" security approach. Choose either long gun option, or 5 glass shelves often used for optics/suppressors.
The "Gap" Solution: No room is a perfect rectangle. Filler Units (Corner units and spacers) which allow for a continuous "U" or "L" shaped counter configuration. This prevents "dead zones" where shoplifters might find a blind spot.
3. Electrical & Lighting: Plug-and-Play Security
One of the biggest headaches in retail setup is the electrical plan.
Standard Power: Fortress Display units connects to a standard 120V outlet.
Daisy-Chaining: Units come with the hardware to connect to one another. This means you don't need a mess of 20 different extension cords; you can create a clean, professional power run behind the kickplates.
4K LED Advantage: Built-in 4K LED lighting not only highlights your merchandise, but a well lit store is a theft deterrent.
4. Traffic Flow & Loss Prevention (LP)
The Point of Sale (POS): Your Customer Service Desk should be positioned near the exit but with a clear line of sight to all high-value cases.
Uninterrupted Viewing: Because Fortress Display cases use glass shelves with no center brackets, store owners can monitor their entire inventory from across the room.
Anchoring: For maximum security, cases should be secured to the floor and to each other using the included hardware.
